Also under the XML folder is another folder "XSPL" which has the same xml files as the XML folder. Is this right?There are more XML files under the XSPF directory, but they are not the same.

When the id's for videos are changed in the admin panel, they go back to the same ids after you hit save, the changes are kept/stored.

Do you mean when you are changing the ID of the single video in the module parameters, or when you are changing the IDs of videos in the custom playlists (in the General Settings)?
