In the menu you have the option categories. If you click on this you see all the mean categories and there subcategories. If for example a category called <TEST> has a subcategory called <TEST1> and both have video's.

I click on categories in the menu, and i choose the category called <TEST>, i see the video's and on my right hand sight i see the subcategory called <TEST1> in a module.
But if the category called <TEST> has no video and alone the subcategory called <TEST1> has videos? I Suspected that then the subcategories would show on the place were normally the video's are standing. But they still show on the right side. Is there a possibility to do this?

Second question regarding categories.
I have 12 head categories. They all show if you choose the menu option categories. I wanted it to stay clean on this page without a user to force to go to the next page to see more head categories. But i have a load of subcategories. The problem now is that they shown also if you choose the menu option categories.

For example:
I have a category called <PHOTOGRAPHERS>. In this category each photographer has his own subcategory. So if you choose in the menu categories, you see the category <PHOTOGRAPHERS>followed by a lot of subs such as <ANSEL ADAMS> <HARRY CALAHAN> and so on.

Is it possible to show these subs, only if a user chooses first the head category and then can choose out one of the subcategories?

I like your idea so I will modify the software so that when there are not category videos, the default view will be the subcategories...

Other users have made a similar request... if there are no videos in a category, they want to be able to display any videos from all it's subcategories also. Would this feature also help you or be of interest to you? I'm hoping to code this soon. Perhaps I will add all these requests together...

Sorry for the late response. I have downloaded the latest version and have to install this first.

I suppose that this feature is in the recent version?Yes, if you upgrade to the latest version this feature should be included. Install one of the templates, then edit the template from the Joomla plugin manager... you should see the option in the parameters.

Hi,

The future "hide subcategories" works in the last version from 02. October

But how looks with displaying any videos from all it's subcategories,
if they are no videos in category?

OR

If I have 1 video in a category and 2 videos in a subcategory, I have actually 3 vidoes in this category and I think all 3 vidoes should be displayed there.


Is that future working in the last official release?
