Staic Thumbnail image could not be generated.

Please help hwdMediaShare over the next week

Over the next 7 days, until the 21st March, we need your help. We will be understaffed during this period. This is due to a combination of events. The main developer (Davors) will be away, another member of staff is migrating to a new country, and the Chilean Earthquake has unfortunately disrupted the ability for other staff members to deliver regular support.

Therefore, it might take longer than usual for you to receive a response to your forum messages. If you post here regularly we ask that you please do not post during this period unless it is absolutely necessary. Additionally, please try to spend a little time helping new users with problems. Hi Folks,

since few Nightly Builds the Static Thumbnails brings an error, dynamic Thumbnail looks ok.

A deleting of all Thumbnails bring no help.
A desintallation and new installation of Component bring no help.

Anyone a Idea?

Yes, this error has been reported by someone else recently. I have just changed the dynamic thumbnail generation method significantly to improve the quality of the image... there must be a problem. I will look at your server and fix. I have emailed you for server access details.

Must have been a recent change in FFMPEG as the previous methods where no longer working. I have fixed this problem and patched your installation. Is this working for you now?

The last ffmpeg versions ignore the -y flag (to overwrite the output file in case it exists) when it is placed at the end of the command, so Davros rearranged the order of the flags in the conversion script so -y was honored

And what will be happen when i take a newer Nightly Build?
Once the fix is committed to the SVN repository it is automatically included in successive NB, so don't need to worry about it.
